MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Flash Force is continually seeking motivated, service-oriented, and professionally-minded individuals for membership. All new candidates are enlisted at the Entry Level (or "Recruit") position. Positions are volunteer and there are many opportunities for training and advancement. Most promotional training programs are self-paced and conducted online.


ABOUT THE UNIT

Flash Force is a unique hobby group dedicated to special operations and scale action figure enthusiasts worldwide. Flash Force represents the boldest and brightest in recreational communities, effectively integrating sophisticated and technologically networked interaction with "real-world" activities and events.

The unit has established a truly global presence by enlisting hundreds of members in more than twelve (12) nations around the world.


MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Flash Force members enjoy a wide variety of benefits including:
  • Ability to interact with other quality individuals who hold similar interests;
  • Authorization to access classified "members-only" sections of the Flash Force website;
  • Opportunities to learn about special operations and tactics (both scale and real-world);
  • Authorization to purchase, download, utilize, and access a large variety of member-exclusive merchandise, downloads, and official materials;
  • Opportunities to participate in promotional training or certification programs, special unit and qualification programs, and unit administration; and,
  • Ability to participate in, support, and assist in development of many group programs and activities.
The greatest benefit of membership however, is the rewarding opportunity to share with, learn from, and serve others while enjoying the camaraderie of a highly specialized and truly outstanding unit.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

In order to qualify for membership in Flash Force, candidates must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and of good moral character. Candidates must also agree to abide by our Terms of Membership Page.


DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Individuals with experience in the public safety, military, or special operations fields are highly encouraged to apply. Many Flash Force members are either currently serving or have prior service in related government and private sector positions.


MEMBERSHIP COST

Membership in Flash Force is free of charge.


PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

While members are encouraged to participate often in group activities, there are no minimum participation requirements. Members may participate as frequently or infrequently as they wish. Members are also afforded the flexibility of participating in most activities at their own convenience.

For those members who accept promotions to leadership, special appointment, or staff positions, sensible and very liberal participation commitments may apply.


SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS

There are a variety of special assignments available, including those relating to special unit leadership, division staff, and unit management. Minimally-qualifying members may also be assigned to any of the following special units:
  • Airborne (ABN);
  • Armored Cavalry (ACAV);
  • Aviation, Fixed-Wing (AFW);
  • Aviation, Rotary-Wing (ARW);
  • Canine (K9)
  • Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD):
  • Fire-Rescue (FIRE);
  • Flight Security (FSU);
  • Forensic Technology (FORTEC);
  • Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT)
  • Heavy Weapons (HW);
  • Intelligence (INTEL);
  • Opposition Force (OPFOR);
  • Reconnaisance (RECON);
  • Special Boat (SBU);
  • Tactical Medicine (TACMED); and,
  • Underwater Operations (UOPS).
Special unit efforts are directed toward specific areas of interest and some related activities may be independently conducted. Many special unit activities however, such as our Annual Flash Force Online Air Show (sponsored by the Fixed-Wing Aviation Unit) are shared with the general membership and involve all who wish to participate.


APPLICATION FILING PERIOD

Individuals who meet the minimum requirements for membership and who agree to abide by the Flash Force Terms of Membership may apply at any time.

Applications are accepted on a continuous basis.


APPLICATION PROCESS

To apply for membership, please visit the Flash Force Application Page and click on the "Join This Group!" link. Candidates must provide a dedicated (ISP) e-mail address to join. Applications from free e-mail services will not be accepted. Once an applicant's dedicated e-mail address has been verified and his or her intent to join has been confirmed, the membership application will be approved.

Please note: We respect the privacy of others and, if requested, will utilize a candidate's dedicated e-mail address for application verification purposes only.

If a new member wishes to maintain confidentiality of a dedicated (ISP) e-mail address and utilize a "free" e-mail service to send and receive group e-mails, he or she may simply change their account delivery options to the desired address once the membership has been approved.
