Like emblems and insignia, flags have been utilized for centuries to identify groups, individuals, and other entities.
Flash Force utilizes a variety of flags for different purposes, but all serve as a source of pride in the unit.
NATIONAL FLAGS
The U.S. National Flag, when flown outdoors over Flash Force installations, corresponds to the state and war flags employed by other nations. The national flag of the host nation may be flown with the U.S. National Flag over unit installations in other countries.
The U.S. National Flag with yellow fringe added is termed the "National Color" and is always displayed in the honor position (viewer's left) when displayed with other unit flags or colors. When displayed with another flag or color that has a cord and tassels, the National Color shall bear a cord and tassels of red, white and blue.

The unit flag is always displayed or carried with the National Color and with a full set of unit campaign and unit citation streamers, if authorized.

Individual Flash Force units (such as Special Operations Commands) are authorized to display a unit guidon. Unit guidons are swallow-tailed flags of navy blue, 20" at the hoist by 27" at the fly. The swallow-tail end features a 10" fork. Guidons feature the stars and lighting bolt of the unit crest and the unit number is displayed in silver.
Guidons are usually carried or displayed independently.
Campaign Streamers are not authorized for attachment to unit guidons, but citation streamers are.

CAMPAIGN STREAMERS
Campaign streamers commemorate every officially recognized campaign in which the unit has participated from 1999 to date. Campaign streamers for the unit flag are 2 3/4" at the hoist by 4' at the fly and are made in the primary colors of the appropriate campaign medal. The name of the specific campaign and the year in which the campaign began (i.e.: Operation: Swift Strike 2000) shall be displayed in a contrasting color (either silver or gray) upon the streamer.
Only those units that have participated in a specific campaign are authorized to display the campaign streamer for that campaign. Units participating in continuations of campaigns (i.e., Operation: Bright Candle II, Operation: Supply Drop III) are entitled to display the campaign streamer for the original campaign (i.e., Operation: Bright Candle Nov 1999).
