 | F-26 "ARCHER" AIRCRAFT
The F-26 "Archer" is a small and highly versatile fixed-wing aircraft and the workhorse of the Blue Arrows Team. The field version of this aircraft is virtually identical to those flown by the Blue Arrows with the exception of its appearance.
With specifications carefully adapted from the U.S. Military's F-22 "Raptor", the Archer has been specially designed to support the special operations function. The F-26 is utilized for a wide variety of air operations including:
- Transportation;
- Observation and Surveillance;
- Reconnaisance;
- Aerial Fire Support;
- Threat Interception; and,
- Attack.
Each pilot assigned to the team flies his own plane and his own personal number is painted on its tail.
