The phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words" well describes the effect a uniform may have upon the image of its adoptive organization. In addition to the utilitarian purposes of clothing, protecting, and otherwise serving its wearer, a uniform also serves as a strong indication of unit identity and pride. While many practical factors have their influence on uniform design and wear, a properly chosen uniform will also inspire confidence, quickly identify persons of authority, and positively effect team morale.
The following official Flash Force uniforms and uniform components have been carefully selected for their utility, comfort, and professional appearance:
STANDARD DUTY UNIFORM
The Standard Duty Uniform is worn by all Special Operations Qualified personnel for routine duty. It consists of military specification (milspec), black Battle Dress Utility (BDU) trousers, jacket, boots, pistol belt, sidearm, and holster.
Full-color and bright metal emblems are approved for wear with this uniform, but subdued metal or cloth emblems are also authorized.
Headgear worn with the Standard Duty Uniform may vary, with the following types of headgear being authorized for personnel or assignments as indicated below:
- Beret: Garrison Duty;
- Campaign Hat: Training;
- Ball Cap: Field Operations (as appropriate);
- Boonie Cap: Field Operations (as appropriate);
- Helmet: Field Operations (as appropriate).

SUPPORT SERVICES UNIFORM
The Support Services Uniform is worn by all non-Special Operations Qualified personnel for routine duty. It consists of military specification (milspec), gray Battle Dress Utility (BDU) trousers, jacket, black boots, and a black pistol belt.
Full-color and bright metal emblems are approved for wear with this uniform, but subdued metal or cloth emblems are also authorized.
The black ball cap is worn with the Support Services Uniform.

| TACTICAL OPERATIONS UNIFORM
The Tactical Operations Uniform is authorized for use by all Special Operations Qualified personnel during tactical operations. The Tactical Operations Uniform consists of BDU trousers and jacket, boots, pistol belt and holster, as well as a ballistic vest, ballistic helmet, and Load-Bearing Equipment (LBE).
The coloration and design of the Tactical Operations Uniform may vary by assignment, with the following camouflage patterns being authorized for use in appropriate environments:
While the above uniforms are considered standard and commonly utilized by field personnel, other camouflage uniforms may be authorized as appropriate for special purposes.
Bright metal emblems are not authorized for wear upon any Tactical Operations Uniform. Full-color cloth emblems are approved for wear only upon the all-black uniform. Subdued emblems (both metal and cloth) are authorized for wear upon any Tactical Operations Uniform.

PHYSICAL TRAINING UNIFORMS
The Physical Training Uniforms are authorized for wear by all personnel for physical training activities. The Warm-Weather Uniform consists of gray shorts, a T-shirt, white socks (or quarter-socks), athletic shoes, and cap.
Academy Drill Instructors and Special Operations Qualified personnel are authorized to wear a black T-Shirt, while all other personnel wear a royal blue T-Shirt.
The Cold-Weather Uniform consists of gray sweat pants and sweatshirt, white socks, athletic shoes, and cap.
Either the black ball cap or watch cap may be worn with the Physical Training Uniforms.

CEREMONIAL GUARD UNIFORM
The Ceremonial Guard Uniform is worn by all members of the Ceremonial Guard. This special unit conducts all formal ceremonies for the unit, including:
- Posting/Retiring of The Colors;
- Funerals;
- Weddings;
- Memorial Services; and,
- Welcoming ceremonies.
The Ceremonial Guard Uniform consists of a Standard Duty Uniform with ribbons, royal blue ascot, silver shoulder cords, and white dress gloves authorized. White flag support belts with silver and black hardware may also be worn.
Academy Drill Instructors wear the gray campaign hat with silver acorns and all other Special Operations-Qualified personnel wear the gray beret.
