In order to maintain proper discipline and order within the organization, it is necessary to establish a “Chain of Command”. This simply means that those members in each level of rank are subject to the supervision and orders of the members of any higher level of rank.

In cases where members are of the same rank and a determination of higher authority must be made between the two, the member with more time “in grade” (in that rank) is considered to be “senior” and thus has greater authority.

The following organizational chart represents the unit chain of command. Ranks are presented in order from the highest to the lowest:
