NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

Greetings!

The other members and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our unit! We hope that you will enjoy your membership as much as we do and encourage you to become involved with unit activities as soon as you feel inspired to do so.

By now you have undoubtedly received your e-mailed Introduction Letter and participated in your Swearing-In Ceremony and Reception. If you missed these events and would like to participate now, please proceed to our Swearing-In and Reception Pages.

Once you have been properly introduced to the unit, if you have not already done so, we recommend that you report to the Training Center for Basic Recruit Training. This program will provide you with basic information about your new membership and help you become acquainted with our unit and its procedures. We highly recommend that you print these materials for future reference.

We presume that you have also begun receiving e-mails from the Flash Force group. These originate from the address flashforce@yahoogroups.com. We suggest you monitor group message traffic for a few days to become familiar with the active members and current activities.

Once you begin to feel comfortable with our daily interactions, we hope you will take a moment to introduce yourself. Please send your introduction to flashforce@yahoogroups.com.

While we look forward to learning anything that you might wish to share about yourself, we would be particularly interested in learning your:

Name;
Country or state of residence;
Age;
Occupation (including any prior military or public service experience);
Primary collecting interest (1:6 scale, 1:18 scale, modern, vintage, etc.);
Size of your collection (or "command" as we refer to it);
Favorite pieces;
Vehicles in your collection ("command");
How you heard about our group;
Other activities or interests you may have; and,
Any questions you may have about us or our unit.

NOTE: For security purposes, we recommend that you provide only general information about yourself. Even though our group membership and forums are restricted, we cannot guarantee the security of information posted to them. Consequently, it is not generally a good idea to provide specific information about yourself (employer, address, specific age, family members, etc.). Since you have most likely not yet had an opportunity to explore our website, please allow me to introduce myself by providing the link to my Uniform Page.
